I hate raking leaves and was so happy that my hubby finally agreed to let me buy a leaf blower.
We bought the Black and Decker Leaf Hog from Ace Hardware and have been using it to clear our yard. We have 26 trees and the house had been vacant and the yard unloved for six months prior to our moving in. Needless to say there were a lot of leaves.
While I was really excited about the blower I find that I use the vacuum function much more frequently. The Black and decker was able to pick up several bags of leaves that were clumped and matted together without forcing me to over exert myself. The hose is long enough that I can reach under bushed and vacuum up the leaves without having to strain my back bending over.
The product claims that it mulches the equivalent of ten bags of leaves into one bag. I would say that while this may be true I can only fit the equivalent of five bags of leaves into a lawn bag without overwhelming the bag and breaking it.
You want to make sure when using this product not to accidentally vacuum up too many twigs or the machine will clog. I made this mistake.
As for the blower function I do use it. I use it to clear my driveway after cutting the grass or blowing leaves out of flower beds where I do not want to accidentally vacuum up my rose bush.

The vacuum function is really great! I didn't know there were two in one machines like this. We've been using a ShopVac to clean up leaves LOL! I need to buy one of these.
