The Life Of A Shattered Rockstar By TheOneAndOnlyX on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Being a huge fan of Motley Crue, I decided to check out Nikki Sixx's Autobiography about his life on heroine. I didn't expect it to be a really interesting read, but after finishing it I found myself wanting to read more.

The book itself is packaged well and filled with lots of creepy illustrations that really add to the bizzareness of this book. Every page is colorful and easy on the eyes and the font is easily readable.

As for the content itself, the book is very entertaining and keeps your attention. Some of Nikki's diary entries are incredibly short, but Ian Gettings(one of the co authors of the book) fills in interviews with friends and family of Sixx to add extra information with the chapters. There are lots of interesting facts that you probably didn't know about Nikki or Motley, and this book brings out tons of them.

The only complaint about the book that is that it feels way too short. When the year span the book takes place during is over, Nikki sums up the next decade in like 30 pages and doesn't really flesh things out. It does provide nice closure but I found myself wanting to read more.

So if you're a big fan of Motley Crue, Sixx, or you just love reading about Rock Stars, then definitely check this one out. It's a great read for a great price.
