The Logitech Quickcam Ate My Computer! By Bluedog on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Thinking about buying a webcam? Logitech's a good brand, right? NO! Dont do it. You'll be sorry. I bought a Logitech webcam. Paid a little extra for it. Its not one of those ten dollar jobs but a nice one. Said it had all these cool features. I was enthused.

I set this camera up....loaded the software...and it crashed my poor computer! The software is so clunky and buggy, I had to restore my computer 5 times to root out the problems it caused.

The camera itself? Well I'll say the mount is nice. It stays in place well and has an adjustable back to fit your monitor well. The camera is pretty attractive to look at and the cord is long enough to reach around the back of your desk if the tower is not near the monitor.

It has typically poor quality (my digital camera has spoiled me in this regard) and it has major sync issues. Fine maybe for a quick chat but no good for filming. Also it follows your face while fiming which sounds great but look really odd when you play it back. Oh and unless you have a lightbulb right on your face its dark as can be. Its light adjusting feature just makes you look washed out.

Not a good choice, Reconsider and buy elsewhere.

I had that same problem. It was a bug that crashed my disk files. I wa stold that this was the culprit! So...maybe we all should sue them...lol WW-V:)
