The Memorex CD Cleaning And Repair System
By comedyfan23 onThe OptiFix Pro CD clean and repair system looked good in the store. The box said that the machine would clean CDs, DVDs, and a selection of game disks. The cleaner came with simple, four step instructions. I followed them and the DVD I tried was still as scratched as before. I put it in the DVD player and it skipped in all of the same places as it didbefore the cleaning. I tried cleaning it again and was met with the exact same results. I tried this disk cleaner on a CD, a DVD and a Playstation disk. None of them came out any better than they went in. This machine will be going back to the store for a refund because it did nothing that the box said it would. I believe that if you want the same results this CD cleaner gave me, you should rub the disk with a cloth.
Good to know...I'll save my money on this one!
We tried this and on MINOR scratches it worked fairly well. But anything more and it just did not perform. I'm surprised at Memorex putting out such a poor performer.

Thanks for the honest information. I know to stay away from this product. I have seen this in stores before and wondered if it worked. I guess I know the answer now.

There are many different cd cleaning kits out there. I will stay away from this one!
