The Mission at San Juan Capistrano, California

The Mission at San Juan Capistrano is a very nice place to spend a portion of the day if you are in Southern California.Some of the mission has fallen down due to Earth Quakes, but a large portion of it is standing for you to see.There are some beautiful gardens, with many types of flowers and some fish ponds on the property.They have a short movie to watch that explains the history of the mission and how they worked with the Indians in the area when the missionaries came to San Juan Capistrano.They have restored a portion of the garden as well as one of the cathedral's.You can also walk through the old cemetary there.They have a couple of small gift stores where you can purchase religious items as well as souvineer type things.There is no place to purchase food in the mission, however, there are many restaurants within walking distance.I enjoyed walking through the mission and spending a couple of hours there.
