The Mothman Prophecies on DVD is a movie starring Richard Gere as a widower and writer of a newspaper whose life is turned into something that seems like it came straight out of the X-Files. This movie is based off of an urban legend in the West Virginia panhandle, and many residents of the are swear that they've witnessed the mysterious "mothman." Gere's character, and others visited by the mothman, have strange visions of what will happen in the future, and sometimes, it leads to a psychotic meltdown of the perosn receiving the visions. I really enjoyed this movie. I love science fiction stories, so this movie was right up my alley, and since it seemed like an X-File, it had that aura of potentially being real. I really enjoyed all of the acting in the movie as well, and think that is was over looked by many people when it came out.
