The Mouse Pad For My Wrists By poshpost on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I use a laptop but I still prefer using a mouse rather than the built in navigator of the laptop. But I don't have the proper desk with which to use the mouse. It is not the right height for my wrist. So my wrist get strained trying to control the mouse.
A friend gave me a wrist support, but it was too high at about an inch and it is made of something that I could not describe and then wrapped in cloth. But it was hard, not flexible, so the pain on my wrist and the tiredness got worse.
But then again, somebody else gave me a Mouse Pad with Gel Wrist Rest by Cd-r King. It is made of rubber wrapped in cloth all over. So as a mouse pad, I like it because the red cloth covering makes it easy for me to use my optical mouse as the surface is not shiny. The mouse does not bounce as well but just glides smoothly. Additionally, the surface where I put the mouse is quite wide so there is a lot of room to navigate my mouse. I don't have to lift it often just to reset the location of the cursor.
Lastly, as for the wrist rest, the size and height is just enough. I think the height is just about the same height as the elevation of the mouse, so there is no strain to the wrist. Only the hand moves while the wrist rests. And since it is made of gel wrapped in plastic and wrapped in red cloth that covers the entire pad, it is really very comfortable.
I am not sure how much this costs, but knowing Cd-r King, this is probably very cheap, around $2 is my guess,
uploaded a picture. but mine is red.
I was mistaken! This mousepad is sooo cheap! It is actually only 70 cents! Would you believe that? And what comfort it gave me!

70 cents?? Wow! I had this at work but I just recently quit and always wanted one for home, but totally thought it was too expensive. I'll definitely have to look for one if it's that cheap! Thanks!
I have one of these that was given to me from a past employer. They had them personalized and it still works well today, even after 11 years. We have it by our guest computer desk.
