The National Newspaper
By Linda Amstutz onMy husband daily reads the local newspaper. I read the USA TODAY. My read is better.
I get four sections, five days a week. The main section contains all the news stories, editorial, national weather and temps, Across the Nation (lists all the states and one news item from each state), Nationline (the most interesting news items) and the lead stories. There's always a chart (lots of times it is a pie chart) on the front page. It's a good read.
Then there's the Sports Section. I don't know what's in it - I've never read it.
Next comes the Money section. I don't read that, either. I like to look at money, not read about it.
Last, but never least, is the Life section. Gossip. Celebrity News. (Wait - are those two the same thing?) Book reviews. Movie reviews. Television schedules. The nation's best seller list. A weekly essay by Criag Wilson. Photos galore.
On Fridays, there is a bonus. A Destinations section, often included in the Life section, but sometimes it stands alone. Travel news. Restaurant reviews.
There's nothing that I need to know about the news that I can't find in the USA TODAY. I only wish I could read it 7 days a week.

I agree, this paper is a good one. My hubby buys it mostly for the sports. They seem to keep up with the latest scores and updates. Especially during the basketball season, you will find him reading USA Today.
I hope your husband shares the Life Section with you. It is my favorite and worth the $$ for the whole issue.
