The New Xbox 360 Slim
By hamman42 onHello, I have just purchased the new Xbox 360 (Slim.) I have been an xbox fan ever since the first one came out and I have purchased every Xbox to ever release. I must say the new Xbox is a great buy. I had the old Xbox 360 and it broke, twice. This left me very irritated having to send the system to Microsoft and waiting 1-2 months. This system seems as if it won't have that problem considering the more powerful fans, ALOT more air ventilation, and a newer build that requires less wattage. Other then the durability the system provides one feature Microsoft should have put in at first, built in WiFi. Not only does this system have WiFi, it uses N, a very powerful form of WiFi. To top it all off it has a 250 GB Hard drive which will let you store all your movies, music, game content, and more without having to worry about over doing it. Next topic will bring us to the games. Many battles have been fought between the Xbox 360 and the Ps3. Well, I can tell you your best bet is the Xbox 360. This is because Xbox 360 displays a better image on the screen, has better games (in my case such as the infamous halo series), and will soon be bringing revolutionary technology (The Kinect.) The Kinect is an add-on to the console which allows the user to play with no controller, but with body motions and voice commands. Now the only thing the Ps3 has against the Xbox 360 is the Blu Ray and if you want a Blu Ray, but don't care about the amazing features and games the Xbox 360 has to offer, be my guest and take the Ps3. This is a review by Hamman42, hope it was helpful to your choice of consoles.

I've been reading reviews where people still claim the system is running into overheating issues. The built-in WiFi is cool 'cuz I don't have time to run huge cables through my house.. and with all the horror stories I've had with Sony products in the past, not sure if I want to get the PS3 just yet since they seem to constantly be releasing new models. I'll stick with Wii for now.
Hmm, thats unfortunate with the overheating issues, but I can assure you that the Xbox 360 Kinect is going to destroy all the other competition and to my surprise its pretty inexpensive 100$ with new Xbox 360 or 150$ bought alone, but good luck on your decision !
my dad has an xbox 360 and loves it but it does tend to have a lot of issues with overheating. he had to but holes in the cabinet he placed it in even though the door stayed open because it gets so hot.
Kinsey, the new ones do not overheat at all. They are also significantly quieter also -- When I turned on my new Xbox (s) I thought it was off because it was so quiet. The new slim models weigh 30% less and are 30% quieter. Even if you bought the previous two updated models prior to the slim, you should be able to avoid the overheating issue because of the chips used in them... My first Xbox 360 had major overheating issues and suffered its demise from the RRoD (Red Rings of Death).
