I subscribed to The News and Observer newspaper weekend delivery last year.The News and Observer had a booth set up at the NC State Fair.When I signed up I received an umbrella and a Walmart gift card.The following weekend my newspaper delivery started.I was so happy with my weekend newspaper delivery that I called and upgraded my subscription to the seven day delivery. There have been a few times when my paper was never delivered.All I had to do was call the newspaper circulation department. I was given the option of having the paper delivered later in the day or having my subscription extended by a day.
There are several different sections that are in the News and Observer - National, City and State, Sports, Life, Business, and Classifieds. In the Sunday edition of the News and Observer there are additional items - sales papers for local retailers and my favorite - COUPONS!!!
I save so much money by using coupons that I clip from the Sunday paper that I can pay for by subscription to the News and Observer for a least one month.
Sounds like you are managing very well with your coupon clipping. I tend to forget about them. It is good that you can pay for the subscription with the money you save.
We have a similar paper here called the Advantage. I love it because it is really local and gives me great deals in my area! Thanks for the info.
Sounds like a good local paper. The coupons make it wortht he price if you clip and use them.
hey I want an umbrella and a gift card! I don't think I ever had anything like that offered when I started a subscription.
i only get a paper when i start a subscription--oh well!
I guess I need to wait for the fair this fall and sign up. I usually read the news online, but then I don't have the coupons (or get an umbrella and gift card).
I only buy a newspaper for the coupons, but this sounds like a great paper!
