The Next Food Network Magazine Star

I subscribed to the Food Network Magazine because I love watching the Food Network. One of my favorite shows to watch on Food Network is The Next Food Network Star. I like to call the winners early and see if I'm right. This season, I was, and I love Melissa d'Arabian! It was so great to see a Stay-at-home-mom win. She has had no formal training, but loves cooking great food for her family.
She has a spread in my first issue of the magazine (Fall) with a recipe for Crunchy Bran French Toast. Melissa d'Arabian has four daughter ages four and under, and takes on the challenge of feeding them healthy meals while still pleasing their tender palates. But she also knows how to please mature palates!
Hers isn't the only feature in the magazine, though. There are articles and recipes by Duff Goldman (Ace of Cakes), Brian Boitano, and lots of others. It is so fun to read about my favorite Food Network stars because I can't get enough of them from T.V!
Interesting features are also offered, like Ask Ted; (Ted Allen answers your culinary questions) kitchen skills quizzes, (How Sharp are your Knife Skills?) and other interesting articles.
I haven't had a chance to finish yet, but Food Network Magazine is definitely a good read and, I think, very much worth the money!
