The Nightwatchman By WreathofBarbs on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Nightwatchman's "One Man Revolution" is the debut album from ex-Rage Against the Machine and Soundgarden guitarist Tom Morello. Here, Morello is given the chance to show off his vocals and acoustic skills for once in a thirteen track assembly of politically charged lyrical poetry. But what else would you expect but politically charged from a former member of Rage Against the Machine? Some may question Morello's vocals or his lack of signature electric guitar shredding, but inside this album is a pleasant experience and a message that hits you in the face every chorus. Agreeing with that message or not may make or break the album for you. Overall, it's worth a listen. It's no Dylan or Van Morrison, but Morello shows he can hold his own, on his own. I felt the album was a worthy listen for any fans of Rage Against The Machine, though the style is completely different. In my opinion, it's a taste of what Rage might have been like on MTV Unplugged.
