The Number 23 By Teresa Kennedy By Teresa Kennedy on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Number 23 was an excellent movie. The story was very involved and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I didn't expect much from Jim Carrey as a serious actor being that I have never seen him in a serious role, but he blew me away. The characters were well evolved and the plot was intriguing. I loved the effect of going back and forth between the book he was reading and the real life he was going through. I also liked that the way he related himself to the character in the book wasn't too far-fetched, it was realistic. His tattoos were pretty cool too. It definitely had me looking for different things in my life to add up to 23 but, of course, nothing did. It's also very realistic in the fact that some things are totally capable of making any human being paranoid when you want to think about it. Once you get something in your head like that, it's hard to think of anything else, or not pay attention to all the similarities that you find yourself seeing in everything. If you like suspense, I would definitley recommend this movie.
