This is the last of the Sidney Sheon books and the only one which is not fiction. The Other Side od Me is Sidney Sheldon's autobiography which starts with his candid telling us of his aborted suicide attempt. Sidney tells us how his writing career began , how he met Hollywood VIPS including Cary Grant, how is childhood was not exactly happy and what drove him to write.

Sheldon's story is not about any of the novels that he's written, but rather a genuine story of his life and career. He is frank and tells us about his insecurities, his "rejection notices"'' his mistaken belief that he could never write a novel that would sell. Sheldon always thought that he would remain a screenwriter so the success of his first novel "The Naked Face" was completely something he didn't expect.

The Other Side of Me is one of the intellectually honest autobiographies I have read from a famous author in a long rime. I rate it 10/10 -- great!
