The Paper Zone Make Your Own Perfect Invitations By Jan Mayrhofer on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
My daughter was recently married. If you are a bride or the mother of a bride, then you know exactly all that means. If not, then be glad you haven't had to plan a wedding! It turned out great in the end, but, whew!, it's a lot of work making the perfect wedding.
My daughter's wedding colors were unusual, so finding wedding invitations to match was difficult. Invitations are really expensive to have made, and you will never find pre-made to order unless your colors are very common. So we decided to look at the Paper Zone to see if they had any ideas for us.
In case you are not familiar with the Paper Zone, what they have are raw materials to make your own invitations – or anything that can possibly be made with stationery supplies. They have paper in every color and type and envelopes to match in varying sizes. They also have sample books full of ideas. Voila! Here is where we hit the jackpot!
My daughter saw a style she loved and we actually found the colors (brown, ivory, and deep red) that she was dreaming of. The photos, I'm afraid, don't do the invitations justice. You can't really see and appreciate the sparkly sheen of the paper, or quite picture the detail inside. The kids did a great job of putting them together and probably saved me about $200.00 by taking the time and care to make them themselves.
I highly recommend The Paper Zone for any need you may have calling for lovely papers and anything else you need to create, cards, invitations, scrapbooks, etc.

The invitations look beautiful! How much did they cost?
My turn at being mother of the bride is coming soon. Thanks for the tip.
Beautiful, not your run of the mill wedding invitations that are fantastic keepsakes!
Those wedding invitations are awesome.
i really like the way the invitations look!!!
Don't worry! The way time flies when you are raising children, it will be your turn before you know it!!
My niece and her fiance (now husband) put all the paper stuff together for their weddings (and they had more than I've ever seen!) I don't know if this is where they found their special colors, which were about as far from traditional as you could get, but I wouldn't be surprised!
