Reviewing: Clarins Summer Fever Lip Colour Palette

I received this lip compact from a relative a while back. I think it retailed for $24.50 and was limited-edition. I like the packaging. It is slim and fits in all my bags. The mirror is a generous size. It came with a mini lip brush. I don't have it anymore.

I have found that some of the colors inside are utterly useless! These two colors are pretty much Garbageville: a bright orange (Top row, left corner) and a purply pink (Lowest row, right corner). Gag!

Fortunately, there are some colors I like. The colors I wear are the light champagne (Middle row, left side)and the shimmery peach (Middle row, right side). Also, these following colors are passable, but I rarely wear them: a pink (Last row on left) and a brick red (top row, right corner).

The glosses are not fragrance-free if you smell them in the palette. They have that unfortunate "lip product smell." They smell sweet and chemical-y. Once the gloss is on my lips, I don't notice the obnoxious odor too badly. They are also unsweetened.

Here is what I've found with the lip glosses staying power. I applied the peach lip gloss at 2 PM. At 3:15 PM, I looked in the mirror and the amount of lip gloss on my lips decreased a great deal. I couldn't see the vibrant color that I saw at 2PM, but I could still see peach shimmer on my lips. It still felt like I was wearing some product on my lips, but it didn't feel as thick as it once was. By 4:00 PM, nothing remained on my lips. I did this test with no eating, but I did drink some water.

Though the glosses don't last as long as I'd like, the peach and champagne shades are really gorgeous on.
