The Getaway is far from a 'getaway'. The game takes place in London's underworld where a former gangster and convicted bank robber teams up with a vigilante cop to bring down London's leading crime boss Charlie Jolson.

The game begins very violently (wife is killed) and is violent throughout. The characters all like to swear and the accents are sometimes hard to understand (thank God for the glossary in the instruction booklet!). Guns are weapons of choice for this game as you attempt to complete missions. Please DO NOT ignore the Mature rating of this game! It is definetly not suitable for children.

I really did not enjoy this game it seemed too over the top with violence and the fact that you are unable to cruise around the game to take in the London sites in between missions.
