The Perfect Storm stars George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg. The movie is based on a true story about the plight of a team of fishermen who are trying to retrieve a profitable catch and are caught in three converging storms which are creating the greatest storm in recorded history. The special effects are phenomenal, but I must admit that I found this movie somewhat depressing. It is a good movie, but it is sad to see what these fishermen have to go through in order to make a living.

There are special features on this DVD, including behind-the-scenes documentaries, commentaries, a photo montage, a storyboard gallery, and more. The movie is 130 minutes long and rated PG-13. I think it is definitely too intense for very young children.

This is a good movie, my husband loves it and has watched it a number of times. I like it as well, I just feel bad for what these men have to go through.

If you are interested in watching a movie about man's struggles with nature at its worst, you would surely like this movie.
