This Polar Express book is a book that my son just adores. He loves the movie and loves books. After choosing it at the library week after week I decided to go ahead and splurge on it for christmas. The price was $18.95, pretty fair compared to other books, although I wish it were cheaper. It was on sale the week I bought it for 20% off but they often offer coupons and will take the highest off the original amount.

The book is a hardbound book with a dust jacket and was a caldecot medal winner. I really like the storyline along with the illustrations. Of course, my son saw the movie first and as we all know the books can be different, but the movie follows the book very well, which was impressive for my son. The pictures are nice and large and it isn't too lengthy in terms of words. It is a quicker read for good bedtime story.

I would really recommend this book for a good story that kids will love. It doesn't really have an educational value to it as far as ABC's and 123's, but it does have things that are educational to me, leanring experiences and imagination.
