The Privilege Of Being A Woman By Mary on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This book" The Privilege of Being A Woman " is written by Dr.Alice Von Hildebrand. It is non-fiction and was published by Sapientia Press of Ave Maria University. I purchased it from EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network.) I never fail to watch Dr. Alice Von Hildebrand whenever she is being interviewed on EWTN because she is highly regarded and greatly admired. Because I respect her opinions so much is the reason I wanted to read this book. She makes a point of saying that women are not like men and she feels that the women's liberation movement has denied women of their God given individuality. Dr. Von Hildebrand ties this theory to many scriptures that she writes about so elequently. I especially appreciate her referring to a woman's virginity as a garden because a woman's female organs are hidden and veiled. Then she states that when a bride presents herself to her husband on her wedding night, she gives him the gift of purity and not a trampled garden. I wish more women followed Dr. Von Hildebrand's example of true chastity and feminine beauty. This book,"The Privilege of Being A woman" is a treasure and very worthwhile reading for women of all ages, but especially the young girls who are being led astray by the modern thinking feminists. I encourage women to read this book.
