The 'Rascals' Is At It Again By renae on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Last year when shopping for Christmas presents, I'd saw a DVD of Hal Roach's Rascals. At the time, reruns were shown on my local network and one of my sister's absoutley loves watching it every morning. This reminded me it will be a great present for her ands as being a fan of classic films (comedies) I would enjoy it myself.

She appreciate the gift and so did I. the DVD had two discs, each had four episodes on it--a few had earlier films of the The Gang back in the late 1920s with the characters-namely Farina, Wheezy, Chubby, Mary. A couple of episodes were during the silent era but it was still amazing to see.

The second disc included later cast members-- beloved characters, Buckwheat Spanky, Alfalfa and Stymie and many more. Additional bonus is the biography of the more popular Rascals-explaining their success and unfortunately some of their downfalls.

The sound and picture quality were still excellent, especially for its time and I got to say me and my sister enjoyed watching every episode. This Little Rascals DVD was entertaining all the way through.
