The Reign of Kindo: Indie Jazz

The first time I popped in the Reign of Kindo CD, I was pleasantly suprised. The aural assault of harmonized clean guitars struck me as odd. However, when all the instruments came in on the title track, it made me realize that I was on to something amazing. Four members of the band "This Day and Age" broke up and decided to create The Reign of Kindo. With delicate guitars and absolutely stunning piano work, The Reign Kindo is certainly one of the most creative and unique bands today. The lead singer has a clear and booming voice which porjects itself well during their cover of The Flaming Lip's "Do You Realize". Suprisingly, the band pulls through with the cover and manages to do one of the toughest songs to cover justice. Look out for The Reign of Kindo, a band that will surely take mainstream music by storm.
