This is a very unusual musical cd with the story of Ritchie Valens as told by his producer and friend Bob Keane. I knew some of the story before I purchased it but if you ever want a really clear picture on his story this is the cd to purchase. It comes with photos of his life and experiences as well as some demos that had not been released.

This is an extremely well done musical and historical accounting of his life. Bob Keane does a simply wonderful job of presenting the total picture. Some of Ritchie's greatest hits are on this cd such as Donna and La Bamba.

I am a big music lover as many of you know. I just wish that there were more similar musical productions about the lives of other artists living and in the past. The historical account adds so much to the total scope of things. At any rate I am glad to have this one.
