The Road By Cormac Mc Carthy By groovyg on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

"The Road" by Cormac MCCarthy was in the beginning a hard book to catch the interest of. I considered it a hard read for me, not that it didn't have a fascinating plot but the fact that it was not written in a form that I had ever been familiar with. The story is about a father and son and their journey to find safety and a place to settle and most of all to keep his son safe after the end of the world as we know it. A burned out America where there is little or no hope for life. The journey shows how the father and son struggle on their journey and what they endure. The father's love for his son is the only thing that keeps him going. It will make you wonder, laugh and cry. It will touch your heart. I think it is one of his best so far.
