The Root Is The Problem By infomom on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
When I was younger and my hair started turning gray, my mom encouraged me to "Give into the gray" still that was easier said than done.
I have nothing against getting older, nothing against letting nature take its course, but when nature hit at 18 years of age and gifted me with gray roots, it seemed just a bit unfair, and so the quest began to find the solution.
Anyone who dyes their hair knows that repeated applications can do a number on the condition of your hair causing it to look brittle and dry.
Thankfully Clairol came up with a brilliant solution to the all over hair dye...drum roll please...it's Clairol Root Touch-Up and it is my best friend.
By only dying the newly grown gray hair I am no longer applying hair coloring to already damaged hair and the results are fabulous.
The color touch-ups come in several different shades and cater even to hair shades that have an ashen tone to them like mine.
The application process is also easy with a handheld brush the size of a disposable razor. It's not messy or odiferous and comes easily off the skin with a wet washcloth.
In a simple ten to twenty minute application, depending on how stubborn your gray hair is, you can have a beautiful, gray - free head of hair again.
The application tends to last for 2 to 3 months before needing to be colored again, but this is no problem for me as I know it is not going to leave my hair in a state of shock.
Like I said, I have no problem with getting older, I just want to do it in my time frame and now thanks to Clairol I can do it with nary a gray to speak of.
