The Running Man, A Retelling Of King's Book By Nicholas Harrell on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

In the distant future, a man is set up to appear that he killed thousands of people in a riot. Once jailed he breaks out with some friends, and is recaptured later. The runner of a tv show called the running man wants him to be on the show. Basic principle of the show is they take convicts, put them in a zone, and have them run from hunters, where if they live, they get pardoned, if they die, they die. This is loosely based on the Stephen King mini story of the same name. Lots of it was changed, including the ending, but its still a very good action film in its own rights. I would highly recommend this to anyone that hasn't seen it, not just for the action, but great acting from Arnold and Jesse Ventura. Seeing this movie as a kid and later as an adult, I still love it. As violent as it is, its still a great thrill ride and Arnold does not fail to deliver. Only downfall of this dvd is its lack of bonus material. Deleted scenes and such would have added to this greatness. Other than that though, great deal for the price. Pick it up.
