The Saturn Sky Is Fun, Fun, Fun By crazycol on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I purchased a Saturn Sky in March of 2006, unfortunately due to high demand I had to wait until September of 2006 to have the car delivered. I originally saw the car on a poster in the local Saturn dealership. I took one look and said "how can I get one of those?"
The salesman told me that they had to be ordered, so that's what I did. I love this car, it is fun to drive, has a sexy body style and lots of options to chose from. I decided to add a 5 disc cd changer and Monsoon Sound System. The stereo surround sound is excellent and has an automatic adjustment for the volume when the top is down. I also added Chrome alloy wheels which add a lot to the appearance of the car. The car attracts attention whenever I drive it, I even had a guy on a motorcycle chase me down so that he could get a better look at the car.
I had no problems with the car for the past 18 months until just recently, it was a freak occurrence, but the service department worked dilligently to find and correct the problem and the car is now good as new.
The cupholders are in odd and inconvenient spots one is on the passenger side of the shifter which is in the way when you have a passenger, It flips out from the shifter and flips back in. There is a second cupholder between the two seatbacks which is also not very convenient. The car was designed by a woman and it feels like a car for a woman. It is similar in style to the Pontiac Solstice, but is a much classier design, The hood has chrome accents on the scoops. It has an optional chrome exhaust and chrome gas and brake pedals
This is my second Saturn. the first was an Ion and I loved it as well. It is still going strong and being driiven by another family member. The cars are well made and the sales and service is excellent.
Gas mileage is 21 mpg in the city, and 26-28 mpg highway.
Saturn Sky Purchased at: Saturn North Columbus Price: $27,000-$31,000

Central Ohio doesn't have the best weather either, but I have been able to drive it 5 or 6 times so far this Spring.
It was extremely difficult waiting for it, but was worth the wait. Saturn did have a website where you could check on where you were on the list of orders but it didn't really make the waiting any easier.
I test drove one of these & fell in love with it! All we drive is Saturns & I really want to get this! I'm not even sure if they make them anymore!
They went into production in the Spring of 2006 and they are still making them. Mine is Midnight Blue with Black Leather interior and black cloth convertible top. I love my car.
What a great looking car. I would love to drive this.
It's not only fun to drive, it gets great highway gas mileage and you meet lots of folks who want to know what kind of car it is. My license plate is Sky Mom and people ask all the time if I am a stewardess, lol.
Very nice looking car! Wish I had a car with good gas mileage :0(
I have a friend that owns one of these and she loves it as well. I am not sure if she has had any problems with it though. i am glad you like yours just as much.
Saturns are wonderful cars. My husband had a SL2 and it had 274,000 before he got a new car. The Saturn Sky looks great!
You would think a woman would know where to put those cup holders! It's one of the first things I notice when getting in a car. Thanks for sharing and really like the look of the Saturn and glad you got a car you really like!
