The symbol Lauder uses for Beautiful is the bride, for everything about this floral perfume speaks to the young and eager innocence of a woman on her wedding day. Billed as "the scent of a thousand flowers", Beautiful possesses top notes of rose, tuberose, mandarin, lily and marigold. Its truer middle notes soften down to jasmine, muguet de bois, ylang ylang and orang blossoms. Base notes of sandalwood and vetiver help Beautiful become something rare in the world of fragrance: a true floral.

This is not an overpowering scent, but soft sensual and enticing. It doesn't shout its presence, but leaves a floral whisper in the room. With its lovely swirled bottle and crystalline top, the 3.4 ounce version of Beautiful looks as lovely as it smells. You can wear this all day and into the night, as its appeal is timeless. It is my hands down favorite scent. I use the silky powder to perfume my bed linens, and carry me into sleep.
