The Scent Of Childhood By JennEm on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

When I was a little girl my grandmother gave me my very first perfume. The scent was light and sweet, and I loved it. It was called Sweet Honesty and it came in a butterfly shaped bottle that adorned the dresser in my bedroom for many years.

I'm not sure what happened to that bottle. I sure wish I still had it today. I remembered the perfume all my life, and luckily I remembered what it was called. A few years ago I decided to go looking for it and I discovered that it was made by Avon. That made a lot of sense, really, because my grandmother had an "Avon lady" and was always giving me little gifts from Avon. I got lots of those great little bags with the free samples of lipstick that I would try on and then try on my dog... but I digress.

I checked it out and to my delight, Avon still makes Sweet Honesty. Apparently it was a scent made especially for little girls, but I love it just as much as an adult. It reminds me of my grandmother and of times we had together.
