The Scion xA (made by Toyota) seems like a cute little sedan. In reality, it's a terrorizing little vehicle you'll want to avoid at all costs!
I purchased this vehicle in order to save on gas and insurance. At the time, my Jeep Liberty was eating gas and the prices were only rising. I thought the trade-in made sense.
Unfortunately, though it looks like a small sedan, most insurance companies rate it as a sports car, which means your insurance prices are going to remain rather high. The car is very light and blows around on the road much more than a heavier sedan. My once lead-foot now fears highway driving!
The quality of the vehicle structure leave something to be desired as well. If acorns falling from a tree can dent the hood, I'd hate to see what would happen in an accident!
Best to stay away from this car and spend your money on something safer and worth your time!

Thanks for sharing this information. This could save someone from buying an unsafe vehicle. You just never know by looking at a car how safe they or truly sturdy the may be when really needed. It doesn't sound like crashing this car would be very good for anyone in it. I know to stay away from it. Safety is always an issue when we purchase vehicles.
Oh my, I hate, hate, HATE to be blown around on the road! And I would hate to see what an accident would do if the acorn truely does dent the hood ;0)
OMG that is so not good! If acorns can dent it, an accident would cream it! I can really sense how concerned you are with your own safety in this thing. I would NOT drive this on the highway!

What a disappointment for you! Yes, sports cars cost oodles more to insure... That is horrible about the acorns! It makes it sound very cheap.
Oh I'm so sorry about this.....I bet you get a little nervous when there are high winds since your car is so light weight.
Sorry that you dislike it so much I would be really scared with high winds. We have a Toyota Corrola and really like it.
