I have always been a fan of the Sherlock Holmes stories. I remember when I was in grade school we watched a movie baised on a Sherlock Holmes story. It was "The House of the Baskervilles" and I LOVED it. Recently while I was shopping I saw this DVD collection and it was only $4. So I picked it up to see what it had on it and the very first movie listed was "The Hound of the Baskervilles". That clenched my decision on buying it.

This DVD collection contains 1 DVD disk but has 3 Sherlock Holmes films on it. The three films are "The House of the Baskervilles", "The Case of the Whitechapel Vampire", and "The Royal Scandal." All three films star Matt Frewer as Sherlock Holmes and Kenneth Welsh as Dr. Watson.

In The Hound of the Baskervilles, which is 90 minutes long, Sherlock Holmes tries to uncover the truth about family curse that is upon the Baskerville estate. The curse has been killing of Baskerville family members for over 200 years.

In The Case of the Whitechapel Vampire, which is 88 minutes long, Sherlock Holmes is taking on a "vampire" that has killed 3 monks at Whitechapel. Whitechapel is also in the same area that Jack the Ripper was located.

In The Royal Scandal, which is 87 minutes long, Sherlock Holmes meets up with an opera singer he has met before who is threatening to destroy the reputation of the King of Bohemia.

If you enjoy Sherlock Holmes stories these short little films are a must for you. For not being high budget films thay are still very well made.
