The Sims 2: Better Than The Original By IceQueen on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I bought the Sims 2 after I heard many great things about it from a friend. I played the Sims before that, but I quickly got bored because there where no goals for me to reach, and it was basically pointless. When I bought the Sims 2 I was pretty upset that there was four CDs for me to have to install through. Luckily I installed without problems, and it was extremely fast. When I originally opened up the game I found the music extremely irritating. It was to happy. As soon as I could, I changed the settings and played music from my computer in the background. The only sound in the game I left on was the sound effects, like them talking, and other household noises. Some of the quick things I noticed where that Sims had goals in life, and there were many different stages in life. The game was finally more realistic and children looked like their parents. There were genes involved as-well as dominant traits. Talk about scientific. The way Sims reproduced was also a lot more realistic, giving it the Teen rating. I was surprised at how much more interesting game play was. Within the first day I had some Sims start a family and the first generation passed away. This is a great game! Its a big improvement from the original Sims and a must have for simulation lovers.
