By comedyfan23 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011The Sony Digital Mavica camera is a great product, and for several reasons. 1. The display screen is at least twice the size of most other digital cameras. 2. It has a battery that can be recharged or if you need your camera immediately, you can use a small back-up battery instead. 3. It takes 3.5" floppy disks (which believe it or not, can still be purchased at your local electronics store) so the amount of pictures you can take while away from your computer is only limited to the amount of floppys you can fit in your car. 4. Changing the picture effect and brightness of the picture is extremely simple. I have owned a Digital Mavica for 4 years an there have been no problems of any sort. It is trully a great camera.
Update On Oct 13, 2009: Did I mention that I bought this camera used? And that it still works? I am amazed. The only maintenance it has needed is a replacement battery, which I found online for a very reasonable price. I sell items online for extra income, so I use this camera quite often. I am impressed at how it has made it so far.
I owned one for about 7 years until it finally died, and I really, really liked it. The files save as jpg and you could just pop the disk in someone's computer and leave them pics you took while at their house. (Of course not all computers have a slot for a floppy any more). I wish Sony would make a new one that was similar that saved to a flash drive. This was a GREAT camera.
