The Spanish Prisoner is one of my all-time favorite movies. Without giving away the story, I can say that you will be lulled into thinking one thing is going on, and then the wool be pulled away and you will see the truth. This is a quiet, low-key movie that is rated PG. The PG rating means that I can watch it with my whole family. Even the kids like it because it is a mystery, and they love trying to figure out mysteries. The cast is mostly unknown, except for Steve Martin. Having a mostly unknown cast adds to the DVD's entertianment vallue because you are paying attention to the story, not to the stars. The Spanish Prisoner is very well-written and well acted. It amazes me that more people have not seen it. It is one of those mysteries that stays with you, long after you have put away the DVD.
