The Stick By Tina Lehman on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

The Stick produces massagers for athletes. They are touted as having the ability to decrease muscle soreness, reduce fatigue, increase flexibility and extend endurance. I have not experienced any of these benefits from using The Stick, but it sure feels nice to use it on sore calves after a hard run.

I have the 17 inch travel stick. It is the perfect size for massaging leg muscles. I have brought it with me when I travel to races. It is not difficult to use on your legs by yourself, but if you want to work out soreness in any other part of your body it will be necessary to find someone to help you.

My biggest complaint is that the smell of the plastic is very strong. After using The Stick, my hands even smell like the plastic. This is the main reason I do not use it more than I do.

Thank you for sharing the strengths and the weaknesses of this stick. I don't think it should be smelling that strong. Esp. given the news about plastics lately.
