The Talking 6-in-1 Universal RadioShack Remote
By ForbiddenGlory onThe "talking" aspect is just about what made me buy the remote in the first place, aside from the fact that years ago, I was in need of a remote that would serve as a replacement for my television's, since it just so happened that it, all of a sudden, "magically" stopped working.
The remote itself provides to the user a comprehensive wide variety of features that would make it extremely difficult for anyone not to be satisfied or even impressed with. Firstly, we have the little sun button on the upper right corner that brings about a red glow-in-the-dark visual that exists and runs through all the transparent buttons, all of which are, of course, on the silver remote. Additionally, the remote enables for the user to switch around devices, such as VCR, TV, Cable/Satellite, DVD, Audio and AUX.
Not only that, on the remote can be found rather uncommon buttons, including the "Guide" and the "Info" buttons, which aren't usually seen out of your ordinary universal remote. There's also the customary set of VCR buttons at your vicinity (rewind, play, fast forward and so forth), with the oh-so-cool addition of being able to swap to live television. Not bad at all I would say!
Above all, should you be in a search for a worthy remote that in the present day and age comes off as a real bargain in the end, then look absolutely no further!

I have this remote! And guess what? A dummy like me can actually use it:) Wow, talk about user friendly. I love this thing.
my remote would yell at me "figure it out!" if I had this one!!
But when does it talk? Does it just say the name of the button you are pushing?
I really like the look of the remote all lit up in red! Very nice... At first I thought I missed the part about talking... so I read it 3 times then I see that Sharky asked about it too. When does it talk and what does it say? A loud "Hey! I'm over here" when lost, would be helpful! ;-)
I, too, am wondering about the talking aspect of it - it would probably be fun for a while, then just become annoying.
This sounds like a pretty nice universal remote. We really need to get one because I keep misplacing all of our smaller remotes around the house.
I love that this talks, how cool is that?
As long as it doesn't speak words like "you aren't going to watch that show right now" or "this is boring! I'm watchin' Springer!"
Wow I am keeping this one in mind. I like to replace some of my remotes with one universal remote.
Love that red glow-in-the-dark visual features , easy to search for it while in the dark. Thanks for sharing the info.
