The Toledo Blade
By Olin Froid onThe Toledo Blade is the local paper I read, servicing the greater Toledo area and northwest Ohio, southeast Michigan. the paper comes out daily and is larger on the Sunday edition overall. The sections include a front page, second news, sports and life/peach section. The Blade offers a lot of in depth coverage, and the writers local and nationally do a great job in their reporting skills. I find it to be informative and educational wit the information presented. The local news coverage is great also, giving specific information along with crime reports weekly. The sports columnists do local and national articles, and it is good to read the information about local high school and college sports covered so well. The life/peach section is the fun area, and the comics section is two whole pages total, with alot of well-recognized favorites. Overall, the Blade offers great local flavor with national coverage that reads and presents the news well.
Since I do not live in the Ohio area I am not familiar with this paper. A question I would ask about it though regards the Sunday edition. You mentioned it was the largest of the issues for the week. Does this paper contain ads and coupon sections? I can not live with out my coupons.
Sounds like a good local paper. I always prefer the Sunday issue of our local paper as well.

Olin, a good local paper that can adequately cover national and foreign news, but not lose that hometown feel is rare these days. It sounds like the Blade manages to do this very very well my friend.
