The Tummy Sleeve By tsmommy06 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I am currently 12 weeks pregnant with my second child and I am quickly outgrowing my "normal" clothes. I was too big to button or, if I could button, sit in my current jeans and maternity jeans were just too big. The rubberband trick just wasn't cutting it. I needed a solution. I went to Motherhood Maternity and purchased a belly band, The Tummy Sleeve. I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am with the Tummy Sleeve. I can now wear all of my "normal" jeans and pants unbuttoned. The big difference now is that they stay up with help from the Tummy Sleeve. I can even wear maternity jeans with help from the Tummy Sleeve. The Sleeve is made from a very strechable fabic that holds up your clothes but isn't too tight around your stomach. It is seemless and no one even has to know you are wearing it. I would recommend this product to all pregnant women - it is a lifesaver!

I just heard of another great use for the Tummy Sleeve.  My friend recommended using it to cover your stomach while NIP (nursing in public).  It nicely covers your "baby belly" from hanging out for all the world to see.

Wish I had one of these when I was pregnant! It's so hard to find comfortable good fitting clothes in that inbetween phase.

I sooo could use one of these! I'm 6 months now and getting uncomfortable. In fact, no lie, today I used a hair tie to give my pants some extra room. I'm also feeling a lot of pressure in the pelvic area and my doctor said one of these would help that. I guess with the 2nd child things are stretched so don't hold up as well. Sounds like it will come in usefull for you for awhile. I'm sold!

This sounds like it's a lifesaver, or at least a pants saver. I am far from haveing kids but will keep this in mind when the time comes. Knowing that this is the last thing you want to hear, but having an average figure (between a size 3 and 7), I have a feeling that this will come in handy for me down the road.

LOL, some lady is making a bundle with this "invention." I just wore my jeans unbuttoned with a top over them :0)

This Tummy Sleeve sounds like an interesting product. Do you wear it under or over your clothes?

tsmommy06

donnabc - you can wear it under shirts but you wear it over your pants - it holds them up - even when they are unbuttoned/unzipped.

I never heard of anything like this before. How great it must be to extend the amount of time you can wear your regular clothes. I wish I knew about these.

I am just amazed everyday at the new things they have come up with since I was pregnant! I would have loved something like this, seeing I was young & vain and refused to wear regular maternity clothes, lol.

I wish they had this when I was carrying my children, this sounds great!

I bet this is a lifesaver for you right now with your pregnancy-what a great idea!
