Reading great books to your children should be a priority. It sets their imaginations on fire, and creates the foundation for a lifetime of learning.

One book that I never get tired of reading to my kids is The Very Hungry Caterpillar, written and illustrated by Eric Carle.

The caterpillar in this story is so adorable, and he will wiggle his way right into your little ones heart. Your kids will love counting all of the different kinds of food that this caterpillar will eat before he finally gets a stomachache.

With the help of this little caterpillar, your children will learn all about the life cycle of a butterfly. They will also learn their days of the week, and how to count to five with ease.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar uses simple words that are easy for children to understand. It has thirty-two pages, and is a must have for children ages three to six.

Next time you visit your local bookstore, why not pick up a copy. It is sure to delight your youngsters every time they hear it.

My kids are 16 and 13 and I still have memories of reading this book. We owned it and they loved it! Still have it around here somewhere.
