I realized recently that our dozens of photo albums were taking up a great deal of storage space and set about trying to find a solution. While browsing at Bed, Bath & Beyond last week I happened upon the VuPoint Digital Photo Converter. This is a small plastic box that attaches to your computer via a USB cable. You then place your photo into a small plastic frame, insert it into a slot in the box, press a button and viola your picture is transferred to your computer as a digital image.

The VuPoint Digital Photo Converter comes with everything you need to be able to convert your photos into digital images enabling you to burn them to CD's which take up a lot less space. You can then copy the CD's and give the copies to your parents, children, grandparents, you name it. The VuPoint Digital Photo Converter will convert 3x5, 4x6 and 5x7 photographs with the push of a button. You can then edit the photos using photo editing software on your computer and upload the images to a picture sharing site such as Flickr.

I hope to start eliminating some of the stacks of photo albums taking up needed storage space, in my spare time, using my new handy dandy VuPoint Digital Photo Converter. I may also look into purchasing the VuPoint Digital Slide Converter, that is if I ever finish with my photo albums.
