Most small animals need to chew to keep their teeth at healthy lengths, and wood is the best way to encourage that.

Wood chews are easy to find - so many designs and choices, but some seem to entice small animals more than others. For some reason, the ABC block types of chews have been a favorite here in our household and rat rescue. They love to chew the blocks down into itty bitty pieces. More often than not, they are chewed faster than any other wood pieces we put in the cages. Not sure I can say for sure why, but it's true!

They even seem to enjoy carrying the blocks around, and playing with them. They look adorable with them in their mouths. :)

As long as they're enjoying them, I'll continue to buy them!
