The Writer's Chronicle, A Must For Every Writer By BMused on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Writer's Chronicle is a vital resource for both established and aspiring writers. Published by the Association of Writers and Writing Program, the Chronicle offers a wide variety of engaging features, including interviews with writers, discussions of various writing genres, reviews of books and writing programs, and articles about the craft of writing. Each issue also includes short news items of interest and relevance to writers and writing programs as well as lists of grants and awards, calls for submissions, and notices of upcoming conferences. The pages of the Writer's Chronicle are laden with eye-catching advertisements for literary journals, creative writing MFA programs, and summer literary seminars. For writers, looking through an issue is like being let loose in a candy store.

The Writer's Chronicle is published six times a year, with issues in September, October, December, February, March and May. A full-year's subscription is delivered free to all members of the Association of Writers and Writing Programs. For those who are not members of AWP, a year's subscription is $20 and individual issues can be purchased for $4.95.
