The digital SLR, first of all, is a fantastic value from amazon.com at $599. It has features that you would find in a professional camera body, but at a consumer price. For those who are used to the traditional digital camera, and like the viewfinder, this camera will be perfect for you. It has a large viewfinder at 3 inches across, that allows you to shoot in two modes. The camera has many shooting modes as well. It allows for a wide range of ISO settings, and personal functions. There are many autofocus modes, and it can shoot in RAW format as well. The quality images are FANTASTIC. The speed of the lens is fantastic. I can snap 5-7 images per second on average. Also, i am no professional and im not shooting with professional lenses. I am shooting with low grade consumer lenses. For those who need great quality, with easy to use features, this is their camera. Also, if you are looking for professional, or near professional quality with advanced settings and abilities, this may also be your camera. Hope this was helpful!
