The Chocolate Cake Doctor by Anne Byrn is a wonderful book for so many chocolately, tasty, delicious reasons. It gives recipe after recipe of incredible things you can do with cake mix besides just make a cake. The recipies are really easy but very impressive. I've taken many of these to dinners and parties and have gotten raves. No one suspects how simple the recipes really are.

Some examples: Barbara's Chocolate Marble Angel Food Cake, made with angel food cake mix and cocoa powder. It's heavenly. Or try Chocolate Cherry Chip Cupcakes which is based on devil's food cake mix. Yuuuumy. There are even some light recipes if you're into that kind of thing.

There is a color picture of each recipe and the beginning of the book offers many helpful tips. There is a section on chocolate itself as well as sections on The ABCs of Cake Mix Baking, Chocolate Primer; What You Need To Know About Working With Chocolate, Chocolate Cake Mix Pantry and a Q&A About Chocolate Cake. There are also great tips on pans, how much to use in particular pans, how to change the recipe for different pans and other very valuable information.

If you're into chocolate or into baking, you should try out this book. If you want to impress friends and family without having to work too hard, this book's for you too.
