The Yummy Goodness Of Mammoth Crocs By DiaperDivaMama on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Oh, where to begin with the luxury of Mammoth Crocs? You've probably seen kids bopping around in this variation of the popular slide on shoe. They are just like the Crocs we saw all summer, but with a furry lining to keep tootsies nice and warm all winter. I resisted the Crocs fad all summer, because let's face it, they are pretty ugly shoes. When my daughter asked for some of the furry Mammoth Crocs for Christmas not only did I get them for her, I ordered a pair for myself from Shoebuy.com (which has great deals via their email list...sign up if you haven't already). My original intent was to wear them JUST around the house, maybe to get the paper if all the neighbors were inside their own homes and I could be protected from sight by a cover of thick fog, but these quickly became my every day shoes. (I'm as shocked as you are.)

I purchased the black Mammoth Crocs with black lining and I have been very pleased. The fur gets a little less fluffy with use, which is to be expected, but it is still very soft and warm after a month of nearly full time use. The only design flaw I have noticed is that there are still the typical holes in the top and sides of the shoes. If you get rained on or step in a puddle, the furry lining gets damp and is uncomfortable. They dry fairly quickly, but who wants to be in soggy shoes?

Overall I love them. They may even transform me to being a summertime Croc girl too!
