Thermo Pride Furnace By JOEY on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I have owned this furnace for 7 years now. Time has gone by very quickly for sure. I was buying a new furnace and my cousin has his own business and suggested I pay the extra 500.00 at the time as he call the Thermo Pride the Cadillac of furnaces. It has an extra thick and durable heat exchanger. I have to say over the 7 years I have owned it I have had no repairs to do on it at all. I have only done routine cleanings and a precautionary belt change on the blower motor. The most shocking thing I noticed was how much less I started spending on oil after purchase. My house was built in 1942 and the furnace I replaced was possibly the original. Believe it or not over the last few heating seasons I have used less than one tank of oil per heating season. The warranty is a lifetime one for the heat exchanger and 5 years for the rest. Considering all the money I have saved on oil I am thinking that at this point it has probably paid for itself.

Sounds like a great furnace and you can't argue with the oil consumption!
