My husband needed a bench vice for some work he wanted to do. We purchased the Wilton Bench Mount Vice in hopes it would get the job done. I thought the tool was a little pricey for what it was. My husband assured me the Wilton was what we needed.

The Wilton vice is easily mounted with the four bolts and nuts provided. Installing the unit took less than 20 minutes--it could have been ten, but we had to locate the right drill bit. Once installed the Wilton is solid and ready to vice.

This Wilton Bench Mount Vice is adjustable for any application. You can rotate the entire unit 360 degrees. You can also rotate the vice. After you get it to the position you need, it locks tight in place.

The vice itself can be used for a variety of applications. The vice has teeth on the main vice and on the lower jaw there are larger separations to lock in rounded or odd shaped materials. Once you tighten the vice jaws they hold fast so you need not worry about slippage.

I have used the vice several times for different wood crafts and it's never let loose of my project. I've also use it to re-spool line on my fishing reel. It works nicely as a spare set of hands when you're all alone.

After using the Wilton Bench Mount Vice myself, I can say it really gets the job done. I now think it was well worth the money we spent on it.
