This Car Seat Is All You Need By cnt24 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

When our little one grew out of her infant car seat, we needed to find a car seat fast. I looked at the Alpha Omega 3 in 1 line in the stores and decided they looked the safest and most comfortable for my child. However, I did not like the price tag. I started searching online. I found the exact model on eBay and started bidding. I won an Alpha Omega 3 in 1 and saved about $30 dollars on the store price.

The Alpha Omega 3 in 1 car seat is suitable for children 5 to 80 pounds, 19 to 52 inches. It can serve as a first car seat and be converted as your child grows all the way to a booster seat. For added security it is equiped with the LATCH system.

This car seat could have been all we needed; however, our stroller system came with an infant car seat/carrier. After using the Alpha Omega car seat, I would have preferred to have my child using it from day one.

The padding is wonderfully thick. It has a cup holder and a net for storage. The 5-point harness is seemingly very comfortable, as my little one never complains and always falls fast asleep-the beauty of a car ride.

I'd like to point out that it will likely not be the only seat your child will ever need, not if it is used correctly. Depending on your childs' size, they may outgrow the harness long before they are ready to use it as a booster seat. My daughter, for example, outgrew the harness at age 3 because of her height, and she isn't overly tall. The harness must be at or above the child's shoulders when forward facing, and with this seat the top harness position can only be used in booster mode. It also doesn't make a great booster seat, the seat belt doesn't slide freely in the belt guide, which can cause slack in the belt if the child doesn't sit still. Most kids outgrow the booster before they are tall enough to sit without a booster. The seat is outgrown height wise when the top of the child's ears are at the top of the seat. DD was too tall in booster mode by the time she was 6.5
