This Is Spinal Tap is simply one of the funniest movies ever made. A pioneer in the "mocumentary" genre, it chronicles the career of a British rock band from their start, stardom and fading out.
The film pokes fun at the music industry and the humor ranges from simple sight gags, to more elaborate, in depth pranks that play out over time.
The cast of the film is hysterical and their are countless cameos as well. Throughout the film there are musical performances by the band that are also performed by the cast memebers. These songs have become classics with titles like Stonehenge and Big Bottom.
The DVD has a very funny commentary track that is done by the cast memebers in character. Very funny and entertaining.
This is a must see film and one that is timeless. It is as funny today as it was the day it was released.
