This Kitty is very freaky
By Stephanie Mas on - Updated Oct 15, 2011My niece is almost 3 but since she was born she has always been into cats. Stuffed and real, it doesn't matter. When she was little she got a stuffed kitty who she later named kitty, kitty meow.
This Christmas, my sister decided that the perfect Christmas gift to my niece from Santa was a FurReal Kitty. Her name is Lola and she is a mechanical cat that purrs and meows when you pet her. When you pet her tummy, she rolls on her back so to make thing easier. Her fur feels just like real cat fur. She also moves her head back and forth. The cat comes with a brush so that you can brush her fur and her own birth certificate. The cat take 4 "C" batteries.
Even though my niece loved this kitty, the cat didn't stay long in my sister house because within a week she broke. The cost of this cat was around $40 or $50 but for that price I definitly wouldn't reccomend purchasing it.
It's a great concept and the cat does seem very real, even freaky at times but for the money, I would have to say NO!
Update On Sep 29, 2010: Not more than 2 months later, this cat ended up back at the store because it broke. I don't think its worth it at all so I changed the Construction Quality.

I'm glad I read this my daughter is after one of these!! so thank you !!
Our daughter had one of these to and for the money id have to say no too.
A great idea, too bad it isn't able to "live" as long as the real thing...then it might be worth the money :) Thanks for the info.
My daughter had one of these when they first came out. It looked and acted like something out of the movie Pet Cemetery.
Nice little review, sounds a lot easier to look after than the real thing!
